This is a tribute to Thomas Chippendale, the great designer of 18th Century furniture. The video traces Chippendale’s development of the first book on furniture design to the features of of his furniture-making complex in London. Unlike other designers of the era, Chippendale actually was a talented woodworker and a good teacher of the crafts.
