A-10 GAU-8, 30mm Gatling gun sound.

A-10, GAU-8, 30mm cannon, fired at 4200 rpm, from 5000ft alt. at RAF Holbeach bomb range in Norfolk, August 2011. The smoke shows the moment of firing, the first sound is the bullets exceeding the sound barrier, about 3X in fact (1 km per sec, approx) and is then followed by the sound of the gun firing. These aircraft were on deployment to RAF Lakenheath from Spangdahlem. All of the A-10s left their base in Spangdahlem for the last time on 17th May 2013 and returned to the USA for good.
