Nipkow Spiral DiskThe principle of image dissection had been one of the first steps on the way to the television. Nipkow spiral disk was the first image dissection device. Earlier, in 1873 W. Smith and J. Mayhem discovered selenium photosensitivity (inner photo effect). In 1888 A. G. Stoletov created a photo electric cell with an external photoeffect. These discoveries helped to create first systems of “remote vision“. In 1878 Adriano de Paiva, a Portuguese inventor, created the first TV transmitter. The Fr
