L’armee Du Bonus Aka Bonus Army At Washington, 1932 (1932)

Unused / unissued material - no paperwork - dates unclear or unknown. French title reads: “L’Armee Du Bonus. Washington. Les anciens combattants manifestent sur les marches du capitole en attendant que le Congres se prononce sur leurs revendications.“ Washington DC, United States of America. Crowd of men many carrying flags surge forward and sit on the steps of the Capitol building. Tilt down the Capitol building to show the large crowd of protesters gathered outside. Members of the bonus army walk in single file, nice CU of their feet. The crowd disperse. Good shots of some of the crowd - shows that the group incorporates African Americans and women as well as white men. Some of the men are wearing parts of old uniforms. N.B. I think the Bonus Army was a Veterans organisation set up during the depression - any information welcome. FILM ID: A VIDEO FROM BRITISH PATHÉ. EXPLORE OUR ONLINE CHANNEL, BRITISH PATHÉ TV.
