British Dancers’ Triumph (1959)

Titles read: “BADEN-BADEN - BRITISH DANCERS’ TRIUMPH“. Baden-Baden, Germany. Various shots of couples taking part in the International Association of Professional Dancers’ ’Grand Prix des Nations’ Contest (International Dance Tournament) in a ballroom. Good footage of women in extreme bouffant dresses ballroom dancing with their partners. Excellent shots of French couple Roger (wearing sunglasses?!) and Micheline Ronnaux dancing the rhumba (rumba), British dancers Bob Burgess and Doreen Freeman dancing the quickstep and the same pair doing a nifty cha-cha-cha - Doreen’s dress is fabulous! Bob and Doreen win the contest and the audience applaud. Doreen is presented with a bouquet of flowers and Bob is congratulated. Notes on file. FILM ID: A VIDEO FROM BRITISH PATHÉ.
