Ice kantele

We made a kantele out of ice. The goal was to make an ice harp this year, but we couldn’t get to a hardware store to make a form, so that will have to wait. The ice takes about 4 Kg of tension before the tuning pegs slip, so that has to be taken into account for string calculation. Matti played in the style of Teppana Jänis on a windy Saturday afternoon. We wiped off the overnight snow on Sunday morning and Jurgita played Gegutė sode.
