China’s ’preposterous propaganda’ presentation in Australia about Xinjiang’s Uyghur people ’shameful’ and ’crass’
A presentation on Xinjiang, held at the Chinese Embassy in Canberra on Wednesday, has been labelled “preposterous propaganda” by members of the Uyghur community in Australia.
The conference aimed to share “real stories” from six speakers of Uyghur background to help Australian journalists “understand the real situation in Xinjiang”, according to state broadcaster ABC.
