California Earthquake Update; M4.4 Strikes Los Angeles, Geologist Analysis

An earthquake just struck Los Angeles, causing the ground to shake for a dozen seconds. This event seemingly occurred on a shallow thrust fault; one of many which are located beneath the broader metropolitan area. This video will discuss the earthquake which struck, the chance of larger aftershocks occurring in the next week, and the quake’s broader geologic context.
