Kick. Snare. Hat.

Disclaimer: this video is by no means perfect. It’s full of mistakes, sporadic/unnecessary fills, show-offy sticks tricks, you name it. This was purely for fun. That being said, this was a hell of a lot of fun! A few days before I filmed this video, I decided I was going to rearrange my drum kit, which you will see in future videos. That presented the perfect opportunity to strip my kit down to just the ’meat and potatoes’ to jam on for a while. You can also note that I’m not playing open-handed for most of this video. I’m still working on developing my technique, and I’ve also recently adopted a new grip style, so it’s not perfect. I still feel I can groove better using my dominant hand on the hats for the most part, especially given that I’ve been playing for almost 14 years and I’ve only been playing open-handed for the last 2 or so years. Gotta practice! Haha.
