TURKEY: ISLAMIC PARTY TRIES TO FORM GOVERNMENT AGAIN

(8 Jun 1996) English/Nat Turkey will face another test of its democratic system, when an Islamic Party attempts to form a government for the second time since elections last December. The pro-Islamic Welfare Party will try to form an alliance after a coalition government lead by two secular conservative parties collapsed due to rivalry between their leaders.
