I performed Philip Glass’s Piano Concerto No.2 during Philip Glass’s visit to Lincoln for the world premiere of the Piano Quintet “Annunciation“ in April of 2018. My adopted state of Nebraska was preparing for the bicentennial commemoration of the Lewis and Clark expedition and I knew that Glass would be interested in a musical treatment of this subject.
