Telefonica Blue collides into a rock after the start of Leg 9. (1/2)

The boat hit a rock while sailing at 14 knots at the beginning of Leg 9. The team was leading the Volvo Ocean Race fleet after leaving for Stockholm and was second overall in points. It took two hours to free the boat and the team was forced to return Marstrand for repairs. Fortunately, there were no major injuries.
