Devatas are the different forms of our consciousness. Devatas illuminate our intellect, emotions and senses with knowledge. The Vedas say that there are 33 types of Devatas. The Earth, Sun, Moon, Fire are all Devata’s. Idol worship is one of the longest continuities of India. In spite of the Gyan of Upanishads, and Meditation of the Shramans, Hindus have always worshipped Devatas in Nature and in stone.
