Daihatsu Rolls Out Customized Car Design with Stratasys 3D Printing
Japan’s Daihatsu is the first automaker to offer mass customization with 3D printing. Using Stratasys (FDM) Fused Deposition Modelling, Daihatsu designers and engineers have created a set of 15 spectacular “effect skins“ which are available in different combination for their Copen roadster. They’re created using Stratasys’ ASA material which provides the durability, UV resistance and aesthetic qualities automotive designers demand.
