Item title reads - Aeroplane launched from the air. D.H. 53 monoplane - piloted by Flight Lieutenant Haig - released from R 33 in flight. Pulham, Norfolk. Intertitle - ’now released for publication by air ministry.’ Various shots of the de Havilland HummingbIrd aeroplane attached to the bottom of the R-33 airship. M/S as it is released from the mooring mast and flies away, M/S as it moves along with the aeroplane attached underneath. M/S of Squadron Leader Rollo Haig in the aeroplane, M/S of the airship from underneath. Various shots of the aeroplane. L/S as it is released and flies away. M/S as it comes back and flies around the airship. Various shots as it circles the airship and flies alongside. Intertitle - ’Since these preliminary tests - hooking and unhooking has been accomplished successfully and frequently!’ M/S as the aeroplane returns to its position under the airship. Intertitle - ’At the first attempt Flight Lieutenant Haig damaged the propellor, but made a wonderful landing.’
