Are holographic projections a thing? How are they done - if they even exist? The holographic projection of a 3D body on stage (or in a cave in a far away universe) is nothing that can be achieved with ordinary video projectors and the means of classical theatre. But there is an agreement between audience and creator that an elaborate arrangement of layers on stage and a convincing 3D like lit projected content could be accepted as a „hologram“.
