Elías is a wicked producer and proper crate-digger. A DJ that spends hours upon hours searching through discogs pages to unearth long lost gems. Drawing from his local scene in Montevideo for influence, Elías weaves together all kinds of genres from the speedier end of the bpm spectrum. This mix is packed to the brim with nineties trance, breakbeat, and that distinct techno sound Uruguay has become synonymous with. Elías recently launched his own label, Ratiug Records, with long-time friend Artesano Titer. The label’s inaugural release was a compilation that matched up some of Uruguay’s freshest talent alongside familiar faces from Europe and beyond. This release gets a big, fat VSVN stamp of approval and I can’t wait to hear what comes next.
