Long-tailed Weasel, Winter Phase with prey

Old Red Images The long-tailed weasel (Mustela frenata) inhabits most of North America. In the northern climates, the long tailed weasel turns white in the winter, while the tail retains its black tip. Long-tailed weasels are voracious hunters, feeding mostly on rodents, and sometimes on much larger prey, like rabbits. The body of the long-tailed weasel is adapted for burrowing under ice, snow and underground in pursuit of prey. This video was shot in 4K format.
