Skate Africa: From Kenya To Ghana | Action Cut

One of our favourite projects of recent times was a two- country tour to meet the nascent skate scenes in Kenya and Ghana with Luke Jackson of South Africa’s excellent Session magazine. Jaakko Ojanen, Jackson Pilz, Chennai Gwandure and Yann Horowitz brought the stoke energy to Accra and Nairobi on a skate trip that was inspiring and humbling in equal measure. With Patrik Wallner handling moving images and Sam McGuire shooting the photos the result was always going to be special; and so, alongside the mini-docs produced around scene-builders George Zuko and Sandy Alibo, we have put together this heater of strictly skate action from an unforgettable road mission. Enjoy every hammer from the road crew as well as local dons like Sam and Balo they met along the way. Whatever else you watch in skateboarding today, it won’t look like this.
