Stratovarius: Deep Unknown live. Lauri Porra Isolated bass

This clip was inspired by the legendary John Entwistle isolated bass recording. Isolated bass from Tavastiaklubi in Helsinki 04/10/14. Played on a ESP-custom 5-string bass. The playing has some mistakes here and there, but it gives you an idea on how i approach playing live in a heavy metal band with one guitar. I play quite a bit of chords and double stops to accommodate for the lack of a rhythm guitar player. A lot of distortion and a lot of force and attack is key to this approach.
