VASYL LOMACHENKO (UKRAINE) vs JORGE LINARES (VENEZUELA) FIGHT!

So guys, The fight between Vasiliy Lomachenko and Jorge Linares took place on May 12th, 2018, at Madison Square Garden in New York City. It was a significant bout as it featured two highly skilled fighters, with Lomachenko aiming to become a three-division world champion in just his 12th professional fight. The iconic Madison Square Garden was jam-packed with a lively crowd of boxing fans eager to see two of the sport’s most fan-friendly technicians go to work. Loma, known for his exceptional footwork, speed, and technical prowess, entered the fight with a record of 10-1. He held the WBO super featherweight title and was moving up to lightweight to challenge for the WBA lightweight title. Linares was a seasoned veteran with a record of 44-3 and was the reigning WBA lightweight champion. He was known for his quick hands, combinations, and experience in the ring. This was a high-octane fight absolutely thrilling from start to finish and despite the outcome you can appreciate the skill and resilience of both fighters. Lomachenko’s ability to recover from the knockdown and secure a knockout victory highlighted his exceptional talent and adaptability in the ring. Now this fight is one in which Loma moved up to Lightweight and he is currently looking to be matched up with Gervonta Davis who has just come off a win against Frank Martin. This looks like an exciting contest. Both fighters value the importance of skill and technique, are extremely active in the ring, in my mind are not weight bullies and possess similar stature, with Tank having a slight advantage with age but a significant edge in power. I think Loma edges on the skill side but this looks very interesting and should it materialise will be an exciting fight to watch.
