The Korg Poly-800 came out 1984 and is an interesting analog synthesizer with usable, interesting sounds. It has MIDI, runs even on batteries, and can be used as a remote keyboard. In this movie I am showing you some of my own sounds - no external effects or eq were used. Really, the Poly-800 CAN sound amazing, if you program your own sounds in a right way. I wasn’t even born back then. Are these patches still available? ANSWER: Yes, they are! QUESTION: What do I need to load these patches into my synth? ANSWER: You just need a jack cable, a computer or smartphone to play the wav file and your synth. You don’t need a tape recorder. Included in the sale is a PDF with exact instructions. QUESTION: My synth is modded/expanded - can I load this patch bank? ANSWER: These patches were created on the original model. The best way to find out is to ask the developer if his mod is compatible with the original. if so, then yes. QUESTION: Can I load this bank into my Poly-800 MKII? ANSWER: NO! The Poly-800 MK1 and MK2 are not compatible. Both have a completely different data format. This bank will only load into a KORG POLY-800 or EX-800 (rack version of the Poly-800).
