INSANE Dry Field Combo Hunt!! (Mallards, Pintails, Wigeon, Canadas, Snows, Specks)

When we arrived at the field and dropped the trailer door, someone asked Rob Reynolds, owner of Ranchland Outfitters what species we would be targeting. Rob looked up with a smile and said “All of them.” With a soft sky, falling temps, and the perfect wind at our back for the S3i line of socks mixed in with a variety of V2 silhouettes, it felt like this hunt could turn into something really special. All of those feelings were spot on as mallards, wigeon, pintail, lesser Canadas, specks, and snows came in waves to feed in this beautiful, rolling wheat field and we wrapped up a double-double with nearly 2 hours of shooting time remaining. It’s not always about piles, but when a hunt comes together the way this one did, you leave with some extra gratitude for the opportunity to chase these incredible creatures.
