Oh how they flew, back in ’72! Here’s a TV spot touting TWA service to LAX and PHX out of ORD and/or STL, with the then-new L1011. That ship appears to be N11002, TWA’s second L1011, but the nose number is difficult to make out. In the early 1970s, TWA marketed a ’Great Cities’ theme with what they called ’Ambassador Service’.
