Changes and improvements in Loopcloud 7.2 This new update includes the following changes and improvements (in order of impact) The Library view has had an overhaul The library view has been redesigned with a two column layout, with packs, folders and cloud storage on the left, and results on the right. This two column layout allows for a much more efficient workflow, and makes better use of the screen space. Importantly, it also removes the need to dig through subfolders. By clicking on a pack you’ll almost immediately see all the files in the pack on the right. Drill down and click on a folder in the pack and you’ll see the contents of that folder and all its subfolders. The old library view is still available if you need it. You can get to it by clicking the new toggle button in the top right of the library tab. The plan is to discontinue the old library view once we’re confident that the new view is an upgrade for most users. Release Date filtering You can now search by release date to find samples from a specific period of time, or just find the samples from the last week/month/year. Loopcloud releases new sounds every single week, so selecting the ‘last week’ preset will throw some fresh inspiration your way, no matter your flavour. The user can find the new Release Date filter in the Audio Filters sidebar on the right of the Loopcloud desktop app. Synth presets are now available at Loopcloud Presets for popular software synths are now available to preview and purchase at Loopcloud. Starting with Serum preset packs, we’ll release new packs of inspiring sounds each week. These presets can be downloaded via Loopcloud and installed directly to the relevant preset folder for your software synth, with official support for Serum, Massive, Sylenth, Diva and Phaseplant to start with. We’ll add official support for more formats over time, as new content gets released. To find synth presets in Loopcloud, just search for the Synth Preset tag in search. Each will come with a preview so you know exactly how the preset will sound, and cost 6 points. Key Lock upgrades A highly requested feature from the Loopcloud community! We’ve made the editor keylock aware of minor and major keys. It’ll now properly transpose to the relative major/minor when required. This makes it so much easier to find the perfect sound for your track. Feedback Button You can now send us feedback using the new “Send Feedback“ button in the status bar. This can be used to submit bug reports, feature requests and general thoughts and feedback. You can also answer some additional questions to bag yourself a free sample pack. The Loopcloud team will read all feedback that comes in and use it to shape the future of Loopcloud. It’s important to note that this is not intended to replace customer support queries - These are still best sent to support@, so you’re guaranteed a reply. Added a button in the library view to ’hide small packs’ You can enable this new preference if you have a lot of partial packs or packs containing only one file, and want to dig through only your full packs. User points are now displayed at the bottom of the sidebar on the right of the application. New users were struggling to find it in the status bar. Full Editor on Startup Option You can now choose to always show the full editor on startup.
