The Naukluft Hiking Trail, the Chuck Norris of Hiking Trails, this was one of the hardest but also longest hiking trails in Namibia stretching 138 km in eight days. Right from the start we started climbing steep mountains that turned into rock faces where there is no room for error. Between our group of 9 people we carried a Sony, Canon, Nikon, Panasonic GH5 and a drone. This meant that our bags (Eddy and I) where well over 20 kg’s on day one.
We had Hyena encounters and constantly found leopard tracks and Black Rhino dung. We had a milkyway roof above our head most people only dream of, this was so special. When hiking one becomes calm and thoughts dwell deeper and deeper into areas untouched. Overall this was the biggest adventure yet of 2019 and worth missing an second opportunity exam for....
Drone footage and GH5 by Han BROlo (Eddy Oosthuizen) I should probably mention that a camera is one of the heaviest but most important things we take along on hikes #noregrets
