Gaza City’s residents displaced again following ’Israel’s’ evacuation order

Israeli occupation forces have issued new evacuation orders to Palestinians and displaced families in Gaza City, causing dozens of families to relocate to areas west and south of the city. According to Andrea De Domenico, head of the UN Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs (OCHA) in the Palestinian territories, “People in the last nine months have been moved around like pawns in a board game.“ De Domenico added, “We estimate that nine in every ten people in the Gaza Strip have been internally displaced at least once, if not up to ten times, unfortunately, since October.“Gaza has been effectively divided by the IOF’s aggression, leaving between 300,000 and 350,000 people in the northern part of the besieged territory unable to move south, as per OCHA the start of the Israeli war on Gaza, around 110,000 people left Gaza before the Rafah crossing into Egypt was closed in early May.
