Israel intentionally destroyed civilian infrastructure in Jenin city and refugee camp

On 28 August 2024, a large Israeli force raided Jenin city and refugee camp, as part of a broad military operation in the northern West Bank. The 10-day raid included aerial attacks, a siege on hospitals, and massive destruction of roads and electricity, water, sewage and communications infrastructure. During the raid, 43 families fled their homes, fearing for their safety. The municipality reported damage to 40 residential buildings, 10 businesses and the deliberate, extensive harm to civilians and their property is one way in which Israel targets all Palestinians, without distinction, cynically citing security as an excuse. In Gaza and in the West Bank, Israel’s apartheid regime has one goal – to oppress and dispossess its Palestinian subjects.
