Napoleon’s crystal sphinx to be auctioned off for charity

A crystal sphinx, encrusted with jewels, which once belonged to France’s Emperor Napoleon Bonaparte, is being auctioned off for charity. The sphinx dates back to the 1800s, when it’s believed a Parisian artist created it for the famous French military general. The estimated value of the talisman is $250 million. Entertainer and jewellery expert Pat Boone says auction organisers are hoping to raise money from the sale for a children’s hospital, food and disability charities.
