This fight was a 10 Round Co Main Event on ESPN2 at Foxwoods Casino on October 25, 2002. This was a big step up for me... Michael had much more experience than I. He won a national amateur Championship with a pro record of 28-2 and his two losses were both World Title fights. This fight, like some others of mine, when we got into the later rounds, I needed a knockout to win and that almost happened at the end of the eighth round but with Michaels experience he was able to weather the storm and I lost my first professional boxing match by unanimous decision. Four years later Michael and I met again and became teammates and good friends on the reality TV show, The Contender Season 2. He is one of the funniest people I have ever met! One night we hung out with the famous comedians, The Wayne’s brothers and they couldn’t even keep up him.
