Committing a little banjo blasphemy. JBP banjo played open-backed through a Matrix universal pick-up into a Digitech Genesis 1 synth through a 5 dollar practice amp.
Probably couldn’t tell, but I messed up on my composition a couple of times. But through my experiment, I conclude: that with the right electronics, the banjo could very well become a staple instrument in shoegaze, post-rock, psychedelic rock, and other forms of next-level “rock“ music with ridiculous suffixes.
