Sergei Skorokhodov, Vladislav Sulimsky & Mariinsky Chorus – Verdi: Attila Act 3: Che Piu S’Indugia

Ildar Abdrazakov as Attila, king of the Huns leads the cast list of this impressive production from the famous Mariinsky in St Petersburg. Verdi’s earlier work is not as immensely popular as La traviata, Nabucco or Rigoletto, but Attila is a veritable choir opera, formed by the historic background of Italy’s risorgimento movement. Abdrazakov seems as an ideal incorporation of the freedom-loving Attila, and the Mariinsky forces under the baton of Valery Gergiev join “with vigour” (BBC Music Magazine). Enjoy this performance of Verdi’s ’Che Piu S’Indugia’ from his famous opera Attila by Vladislav Sulimsky, Sergei Skorokhodov joined by the Mariinsky Chorus and Orchestra.
