Ouch! Booby trap explodes on car thief

A man tired of having his truck broken into has taken matters into his own hands as he booby traps his property. There’s still glass on Constance Street where Brendan Batt found the broken remains of his pickup truck window Sunday morning. After setting it up for weeks, Brendan Batt caught a thief in the act. The suspect broke the window and leaned into the car when a small explosion went off, startling the thief and sending him running. “It’s so frustrating and there’s nothing you can do about it,” Batt said. It’s the eighth time since January he’s had to replace the window in his truck. The glass repair shop near his office knows him so well by now, Batt jokes that he doesn’t even have to introduce himself when he calls.
