Happy 125th Birthday to Rudolph Valentino. Please enjoy the scene that made him famous. June Mathis fought for him to be Julio Desmoyers and she was 100% correct. This is a great performance in the entire film. His charisma and naturalism before the camera are in evidence. He worked hard, worked closely with the director Rex Ingram and received great guidance and support from June Mathis. This film made him a star with the public, but, Metro Studio had more trouble seeing his value.
