DREAD DAZE ROCKS THE NEW SCOTLAND YARD PUB and THE CROWD HAD AN OUT OF OUT-OF-BODY EXPERIENCE

The weather was just right on a Saturday night following the fury and rage of tropical storm Hillary of the previous days. The sky was crystal clear and beamed with life. Sitting next to me to my left is Jamaican-born, Najashi, and to my right, Brian Ward/Belfast, lead vocalist for the Los Angeles-based world music-reggae, house, ska funk band, Dread Daze. Interestingly enough both are from two parts of the same planet, Brian from Belfast and Najashi from Jamaica. Both also hold the same birthday, celebrated on the night of their Scotland Pub performance. The club owner and staff gave them a shout-out then ordered a big cake which Brian and Najashi shared with bandmates and the people who came out to see the show. It was magical. The two talked about their long-term friendships and how their music with a world peace through humanitarian message came first and is one of the great things that tightly binds their lives together.
