El Gaucho

A tribute to the Argentine Gaucho, legendary character but still very present in Hispanic culture. The movie tells the traditional annual meeting in Estancia Condor, the largest sheep in southern Patagonia. If the cowboy in North America appears only in Hollywood movies, in Patagonia the gaucho is still considered a true national hero, as described in the poem Martín Fierro by Jose Hernandez. In Italy we have a similar figure too: the “buttero“, the shepherd that rides the typical horse of the Maremma this is another story that soon we will tell you about.
