Live Black stork nest camera 1 in Estonia, Karula Find out more here: Forum in English: The Black Stork nest camera is situated in Karula National Park, southern Estonia. We have been following this nest since 2016. 2-3 chicks per year fledged here from 2016 to 2019. In 2020 a new young female came to the nest and though she laid two eggs, the nesting was unsuccessful. The breeding started too late. In 2021 three chicks fledged. The male was named Karl II and the female Kaia. 2023 Karl II returned to the nest on April 12th and Kaia April 20th. Karl II perished in beginning of October 2023 in Turkey. The male Karl II (2020), Kaia (2022) and chicks from 2019, 2021, 2022, 2023 are equipped with GPS-transmitters.
