Syria: Internally-displaced Syrians find refuge near Russian air base

Footage filmed on Tuesday, shows thousands of Syrian refugees that have found refuge in a camp for internally-displaced persons (IDP) in Latakia, located near to the Hmeymim Air Base, used by the Russian Air Force. The camp is based in a former sports complex and is host to several thousand displaced refugees fleeing the war, which has destroyed homes throughout Syria. Many have gathered in Latakia as it is now claimed to be one of the safest places in the country due to the heavy Russian military presence
