ECTistener software application, developed and established by EyeComTec () is intended to evaluate sound signals from any microphone. Depending on the length and volume of the signal, ECTlistener emulates keyboard strokes and sends control codes to the receiving software. The program was produced for disabled individuals (paralyzed or those with exceptionally decreased mobility) and works in conjunction with other programs (e.g. ECTkeyboard sign matrix). Using an individual computer system with a microphone and both ECTlistener and ECTkeyboard, clients can type text letter-by-letter by making use of customized vocal triggers such as moans, loud breathing, sniffing and lots of other audios.
