Francis Thomé — The Confession, Op 25

Francis Thomé (1850 - 1909) was a French composer who was born in Mauritius (a small island to the east of Madagascar). He studied at the Paris Conservatory, winning several prizes for composition and performance. He settled in Paris and wrote popular music and operettas.
