SystemVue: How to Account for Board Layout Parasitics in RF Line Up Analysis? (EM_Link)
In most of the RF line up analyses the lay out parasitics such as mismatch loss, transmission loss of the interconnects are neglected. In addition the 3D connector launching, radiation coupling from one area to other on the board, the mechanical channel effects are not even attempted to account due to lack of tools and techniques in a RF cascade analysis. Keysight PathWave System Design software (SystemVue) has recently introduced a new feature called EM_Link that can address all of the above.
