Flettner Rotor Boat

Built for my third year undergraduate thesis, this is a model boat that relies on the Magnus effect (the force which makes spinning balls curve through the air) as a form of propulsion. The force acts on the rotating cylinder in the direction perpendicular to the airflow. The boat is run along some fishing line to restrict movement parallel to the airflow.
