Vietnam extradited to Belarus a mercenary from Kalinovsky’s regiment who fought for Ukraine ▪️The Belarusian ONT channel showed Vasily Veremeychik being taken off the plane. The head of the KGB investigation dept, Bychek, said that he was brought to Belarus “as part of interstate cooperation at the request of the KGB“. ▪️According to media outlets, he was detained in Vietnam not at the request of Belarus, but for drunken disorder on Nov 13, and the next day, he was delivered to Belarus. The operation was allegedly organized by the KGB, using the fight as a formal reason for the detention. ▪️Veremeychik graduated from the Military Academy of Belarus, served in the army, but in 2020 he took part in protests, then moved to Ukraine. After the war began, he joined Kalinovsky’s regiment, where he became deputy commander of the Volat battalion.
