Infinix E-Colorshift segmented color animated E Ink Smartphone back-side for unique smartphone back

e-colorshift Technology developed by Infinix, involves using segmented E Ink prisms that change color when electricity is applied and stay on that color without consuming power once power off is triggered. The product marketing manager of Infinix demonstrates a prototype phone with this technology, showcasing the ability to customize the phone’s color through the application of electric current. Watch all my videos from CES 2024 here: (join for early access) The technology allows users to have a different color phone every day by controlling the color segments through a phone software. Infinix is researching the possibility of developing an app that will enable users to customize the color segments through a Bluetooth controller. This would allow users to draw and choose various elements to be displayed on the phone’s back cover, making it a unique and customizable feature. The presented phone is not just a case but a fully functional phone with the ecolor shift technology integrated into its back cover. The prototype is still in development, with difficulties in incorporating the technology into a fully functional phone. The goal is to create a phone where users can decide what information or design appears on the back cover, such as temperature, signatures, or other personalized elements. The technology is referred to as “ecolor shift,“ and the demo includes a controller and app used to send commands to change the color segments on the phone’s back cover. The prototype undergoes a live demonstration, showcasing the ability to change colors and rotate segments. Despite technical difficulties, the potential for a customizable, color-shifting back cover for smartphones is highlighted.
