An explosion at a Shia mosque in Kandahar, Afghanistan during Friday prayers has left at least 33 people dead and 73 injured, according to officials. The blast comes a week after an explosion tore through another Shia mosque in the north of the country. Fifty people were killed back then, with even more injured. Islamic State Khorasan claimed responsibility for the attack.
