Russia Increases Production and Modernization New Tu-160M2 Supersonic Bomber. Russia launched a program to restart production of modernized Tu-160 strategic stealth bombers in the Tu-160M2 configuration following President Vladimir Putin’s decision. The Tu-160M2 strategic stealth bomber is a strategic missile and bomb carrier aircraft designed by the Russian Tupolev Design Bureau. This aircraft is capable of flying as far as 1,000 kilometers carrying nuclear power and also has a carrying capacity of up to 30 tons.
