As Ukraine’s diaspora attempted to send a Mexican wave around the stands, England supporters refused to engage, instead showing middle fingers and explicit signs to their supposed allies. Comment: It was not their lack of enthusiasm, it was the offensive gestures. The government has been pushing the Ukraine narrative so hard, that the people are showing them what they think. These are the same people who voted for Brexit. It is significant. It is also linked to the fall in living standards. Remember, these are the most patriotic of the English.
