Jessica Comeau- Saltarello (Alternate Recording), Arr. for Mountain Dulcimer
Here is an alternate recording of my previously shared “Saltarello“ arranged for mountain dulcimer... It is a 14th century dance piece that was typical of the Middle Ages and Renaissance; it is simply known as a “Saltarello.“ Apparently this piece was used to accompany a type of courtly dance, presumably one that involved a great deal of leaping, since “saltare“ means “to leap“ in Italian. I dedicate this piece to all you revelers and lovers of fun!
