Dayville to John Day, Oregon | Forest Closed Due to Active Fire

Day 2 of my late summer 2024(1st week of September) road trip to find desolate back country off pavement roads in Eastern Oregon! Driving east on Highway 26, active wildfires to the south and north of me. I tried 2 different back roads but was stopped by road closure signs, maybe next time!
