In the last video i discovered that „happy little accident“, the mechanical noise that the Portastudio makes during transport. That sparked an idea in my head: What would happen if i recorded that noise to a loop cassette , process it and record the result to a tape loop. During the process i added some more tape machines ( 3 in total) and to complete the holy trinity of loops a digital looper pedal 🎧Do i really need to mention that headphones or a decent pair of speakers would be a great idea?🎧 As in the last one i also made a „making of“ : Gear used: Tascam 414 MK I Portastudio Loop cassette by . Processed with the TC Fireworx (Pitch and Delay mostly) I recorded it to a tape loop. Processed with a pitch and envelope fx and distorted by Bestie I recorded “drums“ to the loop pedal. The performance setup: - 4 tracks of noise on the Portastudio, 2 lovely fx on stereo returns, into the interface; - the loop pedal (playing the “drums“) through reverb and filter into Bestie into the Interface; (garnished with a tad of Delay in Ableton) - the reel-to-reel loop into the interface The latter was seasoned with a bit of reverb and Space Echo in Ableton.
